Helping Our Communities Win

ForgeRock Volunteers in Action

Winning Together is one of the key pillars of ForgeRock's culture. Winning together doesn’t only mean our teams support one another to deliver for our customers, it also stands for doing the right thing. As a global company, we know it's our responsibility to make our communities a better place, to support the causes that matter to our people, and ensure that through all we do our communities continue to win.

This year we made strides in our ability to make a difference during Global Action Week, ForgeRock's annual community volunteering campaign. The week is designed to empower our employees to take time to give back and make a difference to the causes that matter most to them.

How have ForgeRockers made an impact in 2022?

Restoring and donating hundreds of laptops to support disadvantaged youths in Bristol.

This year over 20 volunteers from across the company spent a day restoring over 150 laptops in preparation for donation. These will be donated to local causes that support children, helping them to gain access to computers and the internet, an effort to help close the digital divide. This initiative also resulted in the reduction of over 22,000 lbs of carbon going into landfill.

In San Francisco, ForgeRockers helped create and donate hygiene kits to the homeless and also volunteered at the Glide Memorial Church to feed those in need. GLIDE is a nationally recognized center for social justice and its mission to create an inclusive and loving community aligns with our Global Action Week’s goal to give back and make a difference to our communities.

Our Singapore team spent the morning distributing meals at Willing Hearts, a not-for-profit charity that is almost entirely run by volunteers, apart from a handful of staff. The team at Willing Hearts prepares, cooks, and distributes 11,000 daily meals to over 70 locations island-wide, 365 days a year. Beneficiaries include the elderly, the disabled, low-income families, children from single-parent families or otherwise poverty-stricken families, and migrant workers in Singapore. Our Singapore team chose this organization because of the significant impact Willing Hearts has on the people who need it most in the area.

These are just some of the highlights - there were several other volunteering initiatives that happened during ForgeRocks Global Action Week. This was an important week for all ForgeRockers, to give back and make a difference to the causes and organizations that they are passionate about.

As we look to our purpose of helping people simply and safely access the connected world, it’s more important than ever to connect with our communities and provide them with the support we can.

We are at our strongest when we come together, and it is then we’re able to make the changes we seek.
