At ForgeRock, we take Open Banking seriously. That’s why we’re proud to announce our inaugural Open Banking Week starting on April 23! It will be filled with excellent content and events around this revolutionary regulation. Here’s how it goes:
Open Banking Week
On April 24, we’re hosting an invitation only breakfast in London with our friends at Priviti and PSD2 Enabler. This will be all about Open Banking, PSD2, GDPR, consent management and more. Paul Rohan, PSD2 and Open Banking specialist, will be the keynote speaker and I’ll be speaking on a panel alongside representatives from Pinsent Masons, TrueLayer, PSD2 Enabler, and Priviti. You can get more info and request an invite here.
Then, in the evening of April 24, we’re hosting an Open Banking and PSD2 Tech Talk at The Sir Christopher Hatton in London. It’s been a few months since the regulation passed and this event will take the time to review progress since January, lessons learned, and plans for the future. You can register for it here.
The next day, on April 25, we’re senior sponsors at the Open Banking Summit in London. My keynote “Putting Identity at the Heart of Open Banking” will explain the importance of identity in securely providing access to data for third parties, securing customer accounts, and more. You can use our sponsor code, FORGE20 for a discount. I hope to see you there!
Finally, over the course of the week, we’ll be sharing great educational content on Open Banking and PSD2 that explains why you need to consider the role of identity in your digital banking strategy.
While our events are focused on those in the UK, the impact of Open Banking is already having a ripple effect around the world in Canada, Australia, Asia, and the US as other regions look to adopt similar regulation to open their financial ecosystems and competition and innovation. If you’re interested in learning more about how digital identity enables next-generation financial services, please get in touch with us! Until then, I recommend reading this infographic that explains the regulation and how ForgeRock and digital identity can help.
